TABLETOPREADY HOBBY ESSENTIALS

Welcome to the TableTopReady Hobby Essentials page — a collection of the paints, tools, brushes, and hobby supplies I personally use and recommend for miniature painting.

If you’re completely new to the hobby or have been painting for years, I’ve put together these recommendations to help make choosing supplies a little easier and less overwhelming.

These are the products I regularly use while filming tutorials for the channel and for my own personal hobby projects. Everything here has been selected because I genuinely find it useful, reliable, or great value for miniature painters looking to enjoy and improve their hobby experience.

Create Your Own Miniature Storage & Transport System

Protecting your miniatures properly is one of the best investments you can make in the hobby — especially once you start building larger armies or spending lots of time painting detailed models.

Over the years I’ve moved away from expensive foam cases and instead built my own magnetic storage and transport system using a few simple products that work incredibly well together.

The great thing about this setup is that it’s affordable, expandable, and incredibly reliable. Whether you’re storing miniatures at home, travelling to games, or transporting full armies to events, this style of storage keeps everything organised and secure while making setup much easier.

Why I Recommend This Setup

What I really like about building your own storage system this way is how flexible it is. You can customise everything depending on the armies you collect, the size of your miniatures, and how much storage space you need.

It also scales incredibly well as your collection grows. Instead of replacing expensive cases later on, you can simply add more boxes and continue expanding your setup over time.

And most importantly — it helps protect all the hard work you’ve put into painting your miniatures.
